Located in Central America in Northern Guatemala area of Peten, 60 Kms. by paved road from the area's governing city of Flores, Peten.
The park entrance is located 16 km. before the parking lot and Visitor Center. Pay the Q50.00 quetzales entrance fee here.
In the main area, there is the parking lot, 3 hotels for lodging, 2 museums, the visitor’s center, post office, campground, the Park Administration Offices, souvenir handcraft shops, and two local eating places
